The Somers Company Town Project is a nonprofit group of community members dedicated to restoring and preserving the history of Somers, Montana.

Switch Engine S-2

The S-2 is a restored steam engine that currently sits at the head of Rails to Trails of Northwest Montana. The engine is a reminder of Somers's origins and ties to the Great Northern Railroad.

The Company's first project is a plan to protect the steam engine with a new cover that will not only keep the engine's condition in its beautifully restored shape, but will also feature an illustrated history of the S-2, and its ties to the history of Somers. Ultimately, the structure will become a small cultural center for the community.
