Once the industrial hub of the Flathead Valley, the town supported 13 bars and 4 churches. Today a fine yacht club occupies the site of a once bustling saw mill. A railroad tie treatment plant is now an EPA Cleanup site. Gone are the ethnic bars of a company town and surviving is the Tie Buckers Pub and Eatery and the landmark Del's. Remnants of 3 church congregations survive for Lutheran, Catholic and Methodist services every Sunday.
